DAMN!

True Story:

Okay, every morning when I 'm putting on my makeup, I look in the mirror and say "Damn!  You are beautiful!  Don't ever die!"

People laugh when they hear and/or and see me do that but I don't care.  If I don't say it to me, who will?  I mean really!

I've known a lot of women who bemoan their appearance.  To hell with that!  Go ahead and appreciate what you've got!  I

Perfection is always in the eye of the beholder.  Look in that damn mirror and love yourself exactly as you are.

Today's prompt was "Damn".  Now go on over to "We work for cheese" and see how the other beautiful people addressed this prompt!

  1. Damn, you are both beautiful AND wise. You're the whole package, Linda, don't ever die.

  2. When I WAS beautiful, I never saw it because uglier women than I always had a false "attitude" that made me feel inferior. They merely thought they were pretty, I actually was, but never knew it. Now that I'm OLD, I now fit in my mind better, but the rest of me got lost. I'd never tell myself I was "beautiful", not having that much interest in makeup and hiding the facts behind facial camouflage. But my mind doesn't feel it's necessary and I agree. So, for me, that's the accomplishment.

  3. Thanks Ziva! I am so tired of people not just loving themselves for exactly what they are. Each and every one of us is beautiful in our own way. I think people are happier when they truly believe that.

  4. I am the eldest of 4 daughters and was always considered "the smart one" while my sisters were the "prettier ones". To me, the whole package is what really matters. Cosmetics are fun to me, but I don't consider them "camouflage". See, I tell me I'm beautiful before I put on the paint! LOL!

  9. That is too funny! My father used to say quite a similar thing. He'd look in the mirror and say, "Damn, you handsome devil, I hope you never die!" How strange is that? ROFL

  13. My mother used to moan and complain about lines around her eyes and pull her face tight saying "Oh if only I could afford a face lift" when she was about 40. It got worse. I swore I would always be happy with exactly what I have. And so far, I've kept my promise!

  16. Of course you realize I refuse to wear glasses or contacts. That too does wonders for my appearance!

  17. I do that too when I'm putting on my makeup. Because if I ask the mirror who's the fairest it always answers Linda Medrano.
